It always amazes me when seams align exactly and a block still looks out of kilter. My opinion is that by the time all the blocks of a quilt are stitched together (carefully) and the quilt is quilted (carefully), everything smooths out. (Unless care wasn't taken with the binding, and then the quilt may wave.) That's my opinion but I been known to unstitch and restitch.
