Dear Jane Quilt - Block G8 Justin's Comet

Dear Jane Quilt - Block G8 Justin's Comet
I think May 2016 was a record month for my Dear Jane blocks.  I think I managed one almost every day and you have yet to see most of them as I drip feed them to you.  June is a different story.  It has taken me most of this week just to get one block done and I have reached the crisis point of not having any blocks prepared and cut out.  This sort of thing can keep you awake at night.

Here is Dear Jane block G8 Justin's Comet.  Take note of the fussy cutting.  As you may know, I am always a bit wary of diamonds and this one required special numbering of the paper pieces to avoid a muddle.

Techniques: English Paper Piecing
Pieces: 16 pieces

  1. Since completing my Dear Jane I certainly sleep better and haven't actually done any quilting for a month! But the next project is ready to go.

  2. The fussy cutting is awesome. And, congratulations on your May progress. It should let you breathe a bit in June, but I know what it feels to not have things prepped for instant gratification so I know you will be prepping lots soon.

  3. I can tell how you got the spots perfect with fussy cutting, but just look at that center. How in the world did you get those four little white bits to line up perfectly. You really are a master.
