April 2019 Farmer's Wife Progress

Farmer's Wife Quilt - Prepping English Paper Piecing
Farmer's Wife Quilt - Prepping English Paper Piecing
As anticipated, the Easter break gave my a small slot of time to prep the next set of Farmer's Wife blocks.  This process usually pulling every Fig Tree fabric that I have out onto a table, whilst I decide the colour combinations of each block, so I try to do it in one blco of time to minimise the disruption.  I have scanned all of them into Electric Quilt 8, so I do a lot of designing in that programme.  The good news is that I have cut out and bagged up all the remaiing blocks and they are all ready and waiting for the little moments that I have for English Paper Piecing.

  2. What a fabulous feeling to have blocks all "prepped" and at the ready for those few stolen moments of piecing. I am so enjoying watching your progress. This is going to be a lovely quilt! And, by the way I wanted to share a story with you. I did a mini trunk show at my quilt guild and at the end I showed all the little mini quilts I had received in Lori's swap over the years. I started with the most recent so yours was the last shown as it was my first received. There were minor comments on all until I got to yours and I heard oohs and ahs from every person in the room. Guess we know which one they liked best. I still cherish it! Thank you.
