Allietare Mystery Quilt 2015 - Part 1, Neutrals |
One of the reasons I enjoy the Bonnie's Mystery Quilt each year is because it is a chance to reacquaint myself with my fabric scraps and my fabric stash. In this selection of neutrals there is the remainder of the Jo Morton fabric which I used for the Humble Quilts Miniature Doll Quilt Swap back in May, the button fabric which first showed its face in the Celtic Solstice Mystery quilt in 2013, and a fat quarter of feather fabric which I knew I would use 'some day' - it certainly justifies those random purchases.
Allietare Mystery Quilt 2015 - Part 1, Constant |
My constant is this two tone green fabric 'Sherwood Fern' (1501) by Henley Studio. I have enjoyed watching the different combinations appear as I pressed them open with the iron and am pleased with my colour combination so far.

Suzi the cat - Allietare Mystery Quilt 2015 |
I will be linking up on Monday to the Quiltville blog and can't wait to see other fabric combinations. Thank you Bonnie!
BTW; Bonnie's quilt works out 7872 sq" - part 1 is just 8.4% of the total!
great neutrals....promising to be a beauty!
ReplyDeleteYes.. I a, wondering how many weeks this mystery is going to be... Do I need to reschedule my Christmas holiday to finish it?
ReplyDeleteBonnie promised she would not release a clue on Christmas day, rather she was going to wait until Dec 26th. The mystery runs for "as long as it takes" she said in one post. If you are busy, just download the posts, and work at your "own" pace. She keeps reminding that it is NOT a race.
DeleteI look forward to following your progress!
ReplyDeleteSuzi doesn't look totally impressed, but I like your colour scheme!

ReplyDeleteBeautiful neutrals...and Beautiful Suzi
ReplyDeleteSome great neutrals in there! Nice job.
ReplyDeleteThose Neutrals are beautiful! LOVE THEM! Good luck and Happy quilting!!
ReplyDeleteI feel the excitement around the mystery quilt but sadly I won't be participating this year....but I am saving the instructions for later. Your fabric selection looks great!
ReplyDeleteLove your helper! Great color combination, wonderful muted tones. When Bonnie's MQ is announced I always find it amazing as to just what I have in my stash. Great start, such wonderful little hst.
ReplyDeleteOh I am excited to see how this one comes out. Fun!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your colors. My neutrals seem a little boring. I've changed the colors also and substituted a nice green for the grey and brown for the black. I just have to remind myself when she posts units that I am working with different colors and make notes on the directions. https://stitchinggrandma.wordpress.com/2015/11/30/project-updates-mystery-quilts-and-trains/
ReplyDeleteLOL, Frances, I was going to do that math too, but now I don't have to! 8.4%! We have a long way to go.
ReplyDeleteYour fabrics are really beautiful -- I love that green constant. Looking good!
